We take a look at the 2 Super Rugby Trans-Tasman matches taking place on Friday and suggest a bet in each.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where all 5 New Zealand Franchises are still in with mathematical chances of winning the Tournament.
The Crusaders are 7/10 favourites with the Blues 13/10, you can get 11/1 the Highlanders and the Hurricanes and Chiefs have no more than mathematical chances.

HURRICANES v REDS
The Hurricanes were well poised for the final after 3 games, each of which they had won with bonus points. They had to face the Brumbies and the Reds in their last 2 games though and last week they lost 12/10 to the Brumbies in Canberra. In order for them to make the final they would need 2 of the Crusaders, Blues or Highlanders to lose this weekend. Prior to the Brumbies loss they had beaten the Force by 37, the Rebels by 20 and the Waratahs by 26 points.
The Reds beat the Chiefs 40-34 in Round 3, but they failed to follow up last week going down 31-24 to the Blues at home and although the final score line was not that heavy they never really looked like winning the game. In other games this season they lost away to the Highlanders by 21 and at home to the Crusaders by 35.

Handicap: Hurricanes (-12.5) at 9/10, Reds (+12.5) at 9/10
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Reds (+12.5) at 9/10
I am in agreement with World Sports Betting’s Brand Ambassador, the Beast on this one and think that while the Hurricanes should win the game, the Reds are capable of staying within this handicap.
BRUMBIES v HIGHLANDERS
The Brumbies got their first win of this Tournament last week when they beat the Hurricanes 12-10 at home. They had previously disappointed losing by 28 to the Blues away and by 21 to the Chiefs on the road and the reason those performances were disappointing was they promised much in their opening fixture going down by just 2 points to the Crusaders in Christchurch.
The Highlanders go into this match 2nd on the table ahead of the Crusaders on points difference, but with the Crusaders playing the Rebels they know they need to win this game with a bonus point and by as far as possible. They are coming off a 59-23 hammering of the Waratahs at home and in other matches beat the Rebels by 15 on the road, the Force by 10 in Perth and the Reds by 21 in Brisbane.

Handicap: Brumbies (+7.5) at 9/10, Highlanders (-7.5) at 9/10
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Highlanders (-7.5) at 9/10
I have been impressed by the Highlanders in this competition and while the Brumbies at their best are capable of beating them, I would not be surprised to see a drop off from the Brumbies and think that the team with the most to play for here will this one comfortably.
