Kaizer Chiefs vs Supersport United: Draw

When it comes to Kaizer Chiefs, one thing that I’ve always mentioned is how Stuart Baxter doesn’t believe in ball players, he has no winning starting 11, he places players in the wrong positions and relies on Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly; and in order for those players to score, the team needs a player to feed them, which they don’t have.

Its very difficult to rely on set pieces and transition play and the team is going to struggle in the second leg of the season.

When it comes to Supersport United, I feel like they are looking to sell the team and they also released the coach (Kaitano Tembo). The team also lost star players like: Tebogo Mokoena and Sipho Mbule has been suspended.

Most of the players come from the MDC league Currently, there is no team that is intimidated by Kaizer Chiefs and the climate is the same for both teams, that’s why I see a draw in the match.

Mamelodi Sundowns vs Petro Atletico: Sundowns- Win

I’ve seen Petro Atletico play against Kaizer Chiefs in the Champions League last season, I’m not too sure if it’s the same team playing against Mamelodi Sundowns, but I’m sure that the standard will remain the same regardless.
Petro is a relatively good side, but I’m quite certain that the teams that they were facing in their fixture were not strong and were lucky to have been placed with those teams, based on their last performance against Kaizer Chiefs.

Mamelodi Sundowns is a very strong team, both off and on the pitch, the team has depth, they have never lost a match since the tournament’s inception and are left with only 3 games to play to bring the trophy home. The team is fluid on the field and are used to winning.

Orlando Pirates vs Simba: Simba- Win

Simba is a very difficult team to face, especially at home.
Pirates Is similar to Kaizer Chiefs in the sense that they have good players but with the external involvement, the team does not have a starting 11, there is no discipline and a lack of leadership in the team, plus the selection is wrong and have lost Mako due to an injury he sustained. I just wonder how Orlando Pirates is going to cope if they are not convincing at home, in the DSTV Premiership.

Simba is very experienced in this tournament; they have a number of foreign players in the team that can make things happen for them. Bernard Morrison is a former player at Pirates and he will naturally want to prove a point to the team he used to play for. The team is very strong, especially at home. I remember the team loosing 4-0 to Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa and coming back strong with a 3-0 victory against the same team at home, so Simba is winning this one.

Manchester City vs Liverpool: City – Win

-Manchester City should have won last week. The team is very fluid and plays departmental football and have individual players that can win the game for the team such as: Kevin De Bruyne, Da Silva, Gabriel Jesus. The team applies pressure very well and do not allow their opponents to play well against them with the ability to play off the ball and without the ball, which is very confusing at times with the possibility of anyone scoring in that team.

Liverpool plays transition football, and it’s quite disappointing for a team of that stature to rely on such tactics. The tactics seem to be working for Jurgen Klopp but was supposed to lose last week. The team wins their games in the mid-field, but cannot compete against the likes of: Sanchez, De Bruyne, Rodrigo and Silva. The team’s defense is strong but you cannot defend if you can’t manage the game, so I see Manchester City winning this one, especially with the tactics deployed by Pep Guardiola

Al Alhy vs Raja Casablanca: Al Alhy – Draw or win

This is going to be a very tight game with high intensity coming from both teams. Raja Casablanca has one of the best coaches too, as well as Al Alhy.

With the involvement of Al Alhy legends and Pitso Mosimane being under pressure, it’s going to be difficult for the team and Raja Casablanca will be more tactically disciplined. It’s either going to be a draw or Al Alhy is going to take this one.
