Junior Khanye’s analysis and picks for this weekend’s local and international soccer action.

– Cape Town Allstars VS Swallows
– Swallows – Win
The Cape Town All Stars team is already out of the DSTV Premiership, and this is the third game that they have not won. They are playing for advertising purposes.
The technical team of Swallows played a big role in the way in which the team plays today, but I still see Swallows winning this one because the team does indeed have good players.

– Austria VS France
– France – Win
The Austrian team is not improving, it’s almost like they rely on one player. It seems as though the football in that country is not moving in any direction. So for a team like that to take on the best team in the world like France will not be able to compete.
France didn’t play at their best this past Monday, but it does not mean that they are going to struggle against a much weaker Austria.

– England VS Italy
– Italy – Win
The English team plays with too much physique and it seems as if the foreign players are the only ones performing in that team so if you were to remove those players, the team would not be as competitive

The Italian team is stronger because of the individual players, plus the country is moving in the right direction. We also can’t ignore the fact that the team has a lot more to prove this time around because they did not participate in the last World Cup, that’s why I see Italy winning

– Wales vs Belgium
– Belgium -Win
Wales may be excited that they will be playing in the World Cup but the team is similar to Austria and they don’t have big names on the team, so I don’t see them competing with Belgium, I see Belgium wining because of their experience and they are currently number 2 in the world with a lot of individual players that have a high profile.

– Switzerland VS Portugal
– Portugal Win
Portugal relies on individual brilliance; they are not the best but they are not far from the top rankings.
Switzerland is similar to Wales when it comes to relying on one individual player, they just don’t have enough quality to compete against Portugal
