We take a look at 3 of the DSTV Premiership matches taking place this weekend and suggest a bet in each.
FRIDAY
SuperSport v Sekhukhune – Click here to bet
SuperSport are up to 3rd on the table and have won 4 of their last 5 games. In midweek they were too strong for Royal AM winning 3-1, the 4th consecutive game that has gone over 2.5 goals and also that had both teams finding the back of the net, a rarity in the PSL.
Sekhukhune are now 11th on the table and grabbed a much needed win in midweek when they beat Pirates 2-0 at home that ended a run of 6 successive matches without a victory.
SuperSport are undefeated at home this season while Sekhukhune are still looking for their first victory on the road.
5 of the 9 SuperSport matches have delivered for over 2.5 goal backers while only 2 of the 9 Sekhukhune games have reached the 3 goal mark.
Sekhukhune beat SuperSport 1-0 in this fixture last season and the reverse fixture finished goalless. SuperSport are playing some great football at the moment and I am surprised to be getting some even money about them here.
Suggested Bet: SuperSport win at 12/10
SATURDAY
TS Galaxy v Swallows – click here to bet
Galaxy are currently in free fall and they sit 13th on the table and without a win in their last 6 games during which time they have failed to score. Incredibly their 9 matches this season have seen a total of only 7 goals scored and not 1 match has reached the 3 goal mark.
Swallows are bottom of the table after a 2-1 midweek loss to Chiefs and they have now lost 3 in a row. They are the team in the league with the highest average goals per game at 2.9 with 6 of the 9 matches delivering profits for over 2.5 goal backers.
Galaxy are 13/10 favourites for the win with the draw predictably short at 7/4 and Swallows on offer at 28/10. Swallows games have had goals this season and surely at some point Galaxy have to score and I am going to get sucked in by the over 2.5 goal price.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 21/10
SUNDAY
Stellenbosch v Kaizer Chiefs – click here to bet
Stellenbosch are 6th on the table and have taken 7 points from their last 9 games including a 3-0 home win over Maritzburg in midweek. Their league matches average 2.4 goals each (the 3rd highest in the division) and over 2.5 goal backers would have been in the pay-out queue in 5 of their 9 matches.
Chiefs are up to 5th on the table after a slow start and they are unbeaten in their last 4 games and are coming off back to back wins against Swallows and SuperSport United. 4 of their 9 matches have made it to 3 goals.
Both teams have scored in 3 of the last 4 Stellenbosch matches and in the last 3 Chiefs games and that is where I am putting my money in this one.
Suggested Bet: Both Teams to Score: YES at 12/10
