The Paarl Royals lost their opening game against MI Cape Town going down by 8 wickets and they then bounced back with a comfortable 7 wicket win over the Joburg Super Kings. It was then off to Durban to face the Durban Super Giants where they lost by 27 runs after the Durban Super Giants scored a massive 216 for 4, Jones and Ngidi both picking up 2 for 33 off 4 overs. Paarl Royals managed to reach 189 for 8, but never really threatened the target and Eoin Morgan was the top of the batsmen with 64 off 37 balls.
DURBAN SUPER GIANTS
The Durban Super Giants lost their opening game by 16 runs against the Joburg Super Kings, but they got themselves off the mark in Cape Town beating MI Cape Town by 5 wickets and then last time out they hosted the Paarl Royals in Durban concluding in that 27 run victory in a high scoring game. Looking at Durban Super Giants performances in that match, Quinton de Kock scored 57 off 31 and Heinrich Klaasen was unbeaten with 50 off just 19 balls and also a solid 42 off 33 balls from Wiaan Mulder. Reece Topley was the pick of the Paarl Royals bowlers with 3 for 34 in his 4 overs.

This Paarl Royals team has so much class in it and they haven’t really fired the way I would have expected them to. This could well be as closer game as the betting suggests, but I am going to lean towards the home team to grab the win and begin their march up the table.

Paarl Royals have openers who like to go hard from the start and I am hoping they can make short work of the 5.5 runs. This bet is over very quickly, but it is one I have come to enjoy in the opening over of the innings.
