We take a look at the 3 English Premier League fixtures taking place on Sunday and suggest a bet in each game.
Manchester City remain firm favourites to win the EPL Title heading into this weekend. They are priced at 13/20 with Arsenal at 9/2 and you can get 17/2 Liverpool, 15/1 Newcastle and 17/1 and better the balance. These odds will change and be up dated throughout the season and there are plenty of other long-term markets, including a “Winner without Manchester City” market where Arsenal are trading as 15/10 favourites.

Burnley v Aston Villa – Click here to bet
Burnley have only played 1 match so far this season and that was a 3-0 home defeat to Manchester City, a game where they were priced at almost 10/1 to claim an unlikely victory. It didn’t take long for reality to set in for Burnley fans as they conceded a 4th minute goal, eventually going down 3-0 to the defending Champions.
Aston Villa have had a roller coaster of a start to their campaign. They were away to Newcastle on the first weekend getting thumped 5-1, but they then justified 5/6 favouritism at home to Everton with a 4-0 win with 2 goals in each half.
Villa are priced at 12/10 for the win here and while tempted I prefer a goals market play. Over 2.5 goals would have arrived the last 3 times Burnley hosted Villa and that is priced at 5/6, but I am going to go for a more aggressive play on over 3.5 goals which would have arrived in the last 2 meetings at Burnley and in both of Aston Villa’s matches this season.
Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 2/1

Sheffield United v Manchester City – Click here to bet
Sheffield United are finding life back in the EPL pretty tough and they have lost their opening 2 games at home to Crystal Palace and away at Nottingham. They looked like getting a point at Nottingham in their last start, but unfortunately conceded an 89th minute winner.
Manchester City have won their opening 2 games scoring 4 goals without conceding. Last time out they beat Newcastle 1-0 at home and they played Burnley on the opening day of the season winning 3-0.
These sides met in the FA Cup earlier this season with Manchester City winning 3-0.
Sheffield United are a massive 15/1 for the victory here with the draw priced at 13/2 and City at 2/11. City have a habit of just getting the job done on the road and I am going to go for a correct score pick here.
Suggested Bet: Correct Score 0-2 at 9/2
Newcastle v Liverpool – Click here to bet
Newcastle opened their campaign with a 5-1 hammering of Aston Villa and they were then away to Champions, Manchester City where the only goal was scored in the 31st minute by the home team.
Liverpool have taken 4 points from a possible 6 to start their season, beating Bournemouth 3-1 at home last time out. Their opening game was at Chelsea and their scores finished level at 1-1.
Liverpool did the double over Newcastle last season winning this fixture 2-0. They have now won 4 League games in a row against Newcastle.
Over 2.5 goals is trading at 5/10 and I wouldn’t be jumping on at that price given 4 of the last 6 head-to-heads have finished under 2.5 goals. I think this is going to be a tight game and I don’t see much between the sides. The draw stands out at the betting value.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 29/10
