We take a look at 3 of the DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Wednesday night and suggest a bet in each game

World Sports Betting have now priced up a “Without Mamelodi Sundowns” market and this should generate plenty of interest.

SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates are trading as joint favourites at 5/2 with Chiefs 3/1 and 6/1 and better the balance.

Orlando Pirates v Mamelodi Sundowns – Click here to bet

Pirates are currently 7th on the log with 7 points from 4 matches and they have recovered from an opening season loss away to Stellenbosch to take 7 points from the next 9 they have played for.  They beat Cape Town City 2-0 at home last time out.

Mamelodi Sundowns have taken maximum points from their 6 matches to date and last time out beat Polokwane 2-0 on the road, their 4th away win of the season.  They conceded 2 goals in their opening 2 games of the season, but in their last 4 they haven’t conceded a goal and their defence is looking every bit as miserly as it was last season.

Sundowns did the double over Pirates last season winning 1-0 away and 2-0 at home.

Sundowns start narrow favourites for this match and rightly so, but I think the draw is a big runner and given Sundowns defence I think we could be looking at 90 goalless minutes.

Suggested Bet:  Correct Score, 0-0 at 11/2

TS Galaxy v Cape Town City – Click here to bet

TS Galaxy are currently 10th on the table and have lost their last 2 matches away at AmaZulu and Royal AM.  Their last home game was a 1-0 win over Chiefs.  In 5 games this season there have only been a total of 4 goals scored in TS Galaxy matches.

Cape Town City started the season strong with back-to-back victories, but they slumped to 4 successive defeats and now sit 14th on the log.  Last time out they lost 3-2 at AmaZulu and that broke a run of 5 Cape Town City matches which had delivered profits for under 2.5 goal backers.

I can’t put my finger what could have gone wrong with Cape Town City this season, but I am backing them to bounce back with 3 points here.

Suggested Bet:  Cape Town City win at 9/4

SuperSport United v Kaizer Chiefs – Click here to bet

It is not often we get two big midweek clashes like this and here we have 3rd place SuperSport United up against 5th placed Kaizer Chiefs.

SuperSport United lost for the first time this season when they went down 3-0 at home to Golden Arrows last time out and prior to that they had taken 9 points from a possible 12.

Chiefs only took 1 point from their opening 3 matches, but they have taken 7 points from the last 9 they have played for with a goalless draw at home to Royal AM last time and prior to that back-to-back victories away at Stellenbosch and at home to AmaZulu.

SuperSport won this fixture 1-0 last season and there hasn’t been more than 1 goal between these sides in their last 10 League meetings.

SuperSport are favourites here at 21/20 with the draw 2/1, but I am calling a Kaizer Chiefs win currently priced at 16/5. Looking at the history between the sides I am going to go one step further and back Kaizer Chiefs to win by exactly 1 goal.

Suggested Bet:   Handicap, Kaizer Chiefs -1 the Draw at 9/2
