Premier League Preview

We preview 4 of the English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday and suggest a bet in each game.

Arsenal v Tottenham – Click here to bet

The first match will feature a London derby between Tottenham Hotspur, currently in 2nd place, and Arsenal, who hold the 4th spot in the Premier League.

Arsenal has had an impressive start to the campaign, securing a recent 1-0 victory over Everton, with the winning goal scored by Trossard. They remain undefeated in the campaign, with a draw against Fulham on August 26th their only points dropped.

Likewise, Tottenham Hotspur has kicked off the season in style, winning 4 out of their 5 matches, many of which were high scoring. Their most recent home match against Sheffield United ended with a 2-1 scoreline, with Kulusevski netting the winner in added time.

This match promises to be closely contested, with both teams enjoying strong starts to the season and occupying top-5 positions in the table. All signs point to an exciting and tight London derby and I just have a feeling that the visitors are going to spring a surprise.

Prediction

2-1 Tottenham

Suggested Bet:  Tottenham win at 2/1

Chelsea v Aston Villa – Click here to bet

This match will be played at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea will be hosting Aston Villa. Chelsea currently sits 14th on the table and Aston Villa are currently sitting 7th on the table.

Chelsea is struggling with form and consistency as they have only won 1 of their 5 matches this campaign. The side drew 0-0 at The Vitality Stadium last week against Bournemouth who are one position behind them on the table. Chelseas only win of the season did come at home against newly promoted Luton Town and they lost their last home game to Nottingham.

Aston Villa have started the campaign having won 3 of their 5 matches that they have played. They won their match last weekend at Villa Park where the scoreline was 3-1 against Crystal Palace. Aston Villa won this fixture 2-0 last season and will be looking for back to back wins at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea look out of sorts and an in form Aston Villa can add to their woes.

Prediction

2-1 Aston Villa

Suggested Bet:  Aston Villa win at 28/10

Liverpool v West Ham – Click here to bet

This match will take place at Anfield between Liverpool who are currently sitting 3rd on the table and West ham United who are currently sitting 6th on the table.

Liverpool started the campaign with a draw and have won the other 4 matches. They beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium in their last start where the scoreline was 3-1. They have won both of their home matches this season scoring 3 goals on each occasion.

West Ham United have won 3 of their 5 matches this campaign. They lost 3-1 to Manchester City at The London Stadium last weekend despite being 1-0 up at the break. The have taken 7 points from a possible 9 this season.

Liverpool have won their last 5 league matches at home to West Ham and the last 4 have been by a single goal. Under 2.5 goals backers have collected in the last 2 head to heads at Anfield and that is where I am heading at a big price.

Prediction

2-0 Liverpool

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 2/1

Sheffield United v Newcastle United – Click here to bet

This match will take place at Bramall Lane where Newcastle who are currently sitting 12th on the table visit 17th place Sheffield United.

Sheffield United have had a tough start to the campaign as they have lost 4 of their 5 matches played. They lost to Tottenham Hotspur away last time out going down 2-1. 4 of the 5 Sheffield United games have had 3 goals or more in them.

Newcastle United started the campaign strongly beaten Aston Villa 5-1. The side has now won 3 of their 5 matches played. They beat Brentford last weekend at St James’ Park where the scoreline was 1-0 and they will be looking to keep their momentum going with a 3 pointer on the road.

I think Newcastle win this but it could be tight.

Prediction

1-0 Newcastle United.

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Newcastle United -1 the draw at 11/4
