LA LIGA PREVIEWS

We take a look at two of the La Liga matches taking place on Saturday and Sunday and suggest a bet in each game.

Let’s start with a look at the latest La Liga Outright Betting where Real Madrid are trading at 17/20 favourites ahead of their long-time rivals Barcelona who are 5/4, Atlético Madrid are 9/1 and you can get 75/1 and better the balance.

SATURDAY

REAL SOCIEDAD v ATHLETIC BILBAO – Click here to bet

Real Sociedad are currently 6th on the table and have won 3 of their last 4 matches.  Last time out they beat Valencia 1-0 on the road and their last home game was a 4-3 victory over Getafe.  Overall at home this season they have played 4, won 2 and drawn 2.

Athletic Bilbao are sitting 4th on the table with 14 points from their opening 7 matches.  They are undefeated in their last 6 and they drew 2-2 at home to Getafe in their last start.  Their last away game was a 2-0 victory over Alaves and they have taken 7 points from a possible 9 on the road.

Real Sociedad won this fixture 3-1 last season and Athletic Bilbao won the reverse fixture 2-0 at home.

I fancy under 2.5 goals here, but at 6/10 it is a bit short for my liking and I am going to go with the draw in what I think will be a tight match.

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 9/4

SUNDAY

ATLÉTICO MADRID v CADIZ – Click here to bet

Atlético Madrid currently sit 5th on the log and they have won 3 of their last 4 matches including back-to-back wins away to Osasuna last time out and at home to Real Madrid where they won 3-1 in their penultimate start.  They have only played two home matches this season winning both.

Cadiz are 9th on the log with 9 points from their opening 7 games.  They have only taken 2 points from the last 9 they have played for and last time out drew 0-0 at home to Rayo Vallecano.  They have battled on the road so far this season with 1 win and 2 losses in their 3 starts.

Looking at the head-to-head stats between these sides there is generally a lot of goals when they meet and 5 of the last 6 matches have had 4 goals or more in them.

Suggested Bet:  Over 3.5 goals at 37/20
