MANCHESTER CITY PREMIER LEAGUE UCL

We take a look at 4 of the UEFA Champion League fixtures taking place on Wednesday night suggesting a bet in each game.

Manchester City head into this round of UEFA Champions League fixtures as the favourites at 2/1 to win the Cup with Bayern Munich trading at 5/1, Arsenal and Real Madrid at 8/1 and you can get 10/1 Barcelona, 13/1 PSG and 25/1 and better the balance.

Atlético Madrid v Feyenoord – Click here to bet

This is a Group E clash and Atlético Madrid are currently on 1 point after their opening game finished 1-1 at Lazio.   Atlético Madrid would have been disappointed with the result as they were leading deep into injury time before conceding the equaliser.  Since that match they have won 3 successive League games including beating Cadiz 3-2 at home on the weekend.

Feyenoord currently top the group after a 2-0 home win over Celtic, a game where they were 11/20 for the win.  They were also in excellent form in their domestic League and are undefeated in their last 8 matches across all competitions winning their last 6.

I am expecting this to be a tight game and I am going to go for a correct score play.

Suggested Bet:  Correct Score, 2-0 at 13/2

Dortmund v AC Milan – Click here to bet

This is a Group F clash and both teams will be looking to recover from slow starts.

Dortmund were away to PSG in their opening game and it was the home team that justified 15/20 favouritism with a 2-0 victory.  Dortmund bounced straight back to form in their domestic League with back-to-back wins over Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim.

AC Milan played out a goalless draw with Newcastle at home in their opening game, a match where the bookmakers had struggled to separate the pair.  They played 3 League matches since, winning all of them including a 2-0 win against Lazio at home on the weekend.

Dortmund are slight favourites for this game at just under 2/1, but my money is on the draw as I don’t expect much between these sides.

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 26/10

RB Leipzig v Manchester City – Click here to bet

Both of these sides got off to winning starts in Group G with RB Leipzig beating Young Boys 3-1 on the road in their opening match.  It was very much in line with expectations as they started 7/10 favourites and on the weekend they hosted Bayern Munich in the League drawing 2-2 which is a decent result given Bayern started 15/20 favourites.  It did however break a run of 6 successive victories across all competitions.

Manchester City were 1/12 favourites to see off Crvena Zvezda in their opening game and they delivered with a 3-1 victory.  Their domestic form has taken a surprising downturn and they were dumped out of the EFL Cup by Newcastle before losing 2-1 away to Wolves in the League, a game where they started 4/10 favourites.

These sides played out a 1-1 draw at Leipzig in the Champions League last season, but Manchester City won the reverse fixture 7-0.

City appear a bit vulnerable at the moment and I am going to back an in form Leipzig side to get something out of this game.

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Leipzig +0.5 goals at 23/20

FC Porto v Barcelona – Click here to bet

These sides currently top Group H after both got victories in their opening round.

FC Porto beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-1 on the road, but they were beaten 1-0 in their domestic League away at Benfica on the weekend.

Barcelona had few problems seeing off Antwerp 5-0 at home and domestically they are also going strong and beat Sevilla 1-0 at home on the weekend and they have now gone 12 games without defeat across all competitions.

Barcelona are 9/10 favourites for this game, but I think FC Porto can come away with a point.

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 28/10
