SERIE A PREVIEW

Serie A Betting Preview, Friday 6 October

There are two Serie A matches taking place on Friday night and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

Inter Milan have drifted slightly in the Outright Betting and are now 11/10 to win the title ahead of their neighbours, AC Milan who are priced at 16/5, Juventus are 5/1, Napoli 13/2 and you can get 30/1 and better the balance.

EMPOLI v UDINESE – Click here to bet

Empoli are currently 19th on the log with 3 points from their opening 7 matches.  They went down 3-0 away to Bologna on Sunday and in the start before that they did get a 1-0 home win over Salernitana for their first points of the season.  Empoli have only scored 1 goal this season while conceding 16 in 7 matches.

Udinese are 17th on the log on 4 points from their 7 games, those 4 points all coming from draws.  Their last match was a 2-2 home draw with Genoa and their last away game was a 4-1 loss to Napoli.

I am expecting this to be a tight, low scoring affair and am tempted by under 2.5 goals at 5/6, but I can’t resist a good stat though and in all 7 of Empoli’s games only one team has found the back of the net.

Suggested Bet:  Both teams to score, NO, at 21/20

LECCE v SASSUOLO – Click here to bet

Lecce are currently 7th on the log on 11 points from their 7 opening matches.  They have hit a rocky patch though and have lost back-to-back games, at home to Napoli and away to Juventus although in both games they were fairly heavy underdogs with the bookmakers.  Overall at home this season they have won 3 and drawn 1 of their 4 matches.

Sassuolo are currently 11th on the log having won 3 and lost 2 of their last 5 matches.  Their last game was a 1-0 home defeat to Monza.  Prior to that they had stunned Inter 2-1 on the road.

Sassuolo did the double over Lecce last season winning both fixtures 1-0.

I think we could get goals in this one, but at the same time think it will be a tight game and rather than the 15/20 over 2.5 goals I am going for the draw here at 26/10.

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 26/10
