West Ham are currently sitting 7^th in the league, having won 3 of their 5 most recent matches. They broke a 2 match losing streak when they beat Sheffield United 2-0 at home last week having lost to Liverpool away and Man City at home in their 2 previous games.

Newcastle United, sit closely behind West Ham in 8^th position in the league. They have won their last 3 matches most recently beating Burnley 2-0 at home.  Their last away game was an 8-0 hammering of Sheffield United and that was their 1^st points on the road this season.

Head-to-Head

Last season Newcastle won this fixture 5-1 but West Ham held them to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.

Prediction:

Unfortunately, Brighton was given a thrashing of 6-1 by Aston Villa away last time out and that ended a 3 match winning streak.  Brighton have won 3 out of 4 home matches and have scored the most goals (19) out of all the Premier League sides so far this season.

Liverpool sits 2 spots above Brighton in 4^th position in the league and saw a 5 match winning streak ended when they lost 2-1 at Tottenham last weekend conceding an own goal in the 96^th minute. Liverpool have taken 7 points from a possible 12 this season.

Head to Head

In January 2023 in the FA Cup, Brighton beat Liverpool 2-1 by scoring the winning goal during extra time. They went head-to-head twice last Premier League season, drawing the first match 3-3 at Anfield (Liverpool did concede an own goal), and Brighton taking a convincing  3-0 win at home.

Prediction:

All 7 of Brighton’s matches have had over 3.5 goals in them this season and I am predicting a high scoring Liverpool win.

They beat Bournemouth 4-0 away last time out and the match before that they drew 2-2 at home to Tottenham. Arsenal have taken 8 points from a possible 12 at home this season .

Manchester City currently top the league with a total goal difference of +12 and they have only lost 1 match this season and that came last time out against Wolves away. City have taken 9 points from 12 on the road scoring 9 goals and conceding 4.

Head to Head

Arsenal and Man City went head-to-head in August 2023 during the FA Community Shield Match where Arsenal won 2-1 after penalties (the score was 0-0 after 90 minutes). Last Premier League season Manchester City dominated winning 3-1 away and 4-1 at home.

Prediction:

I can’t ignore history here and will back Man City to make it 13 wins on the trot against the Gunners in the EPL.
