The Vodacom Bulls have launched their 2023/24 Puma jersey. A versatile, iconic, and bold jersey that celebrates the fans, culture, gees, legends, and future stars behind the badge in the Capital of Rugby. The Tshwane-based teams will have two jerseys for the coming season, the traditional blue for home games and a white jersey for away matches.
The gents will run out in the light blue jersey for all home fixtures whilst they will don the white jersey for away trips, with the ladies playing in the white stripes at home and sport the iconic blue on away days.
“We are the only franchise that boasts a professional men’s and women’s high-performance environment, and that means we have to be versatile in our thinking, and I think we have laid the mark for others to follow by producing a dynamic jersey,” comments Edgar Rathbone, Chief Executive of the BBCo.
“Our 2023/24 jersey speaks to ingenuity and pride, which are traits that we associate ourselves with as a franchise and a people with a common passion for the game.”
Rathbone adds: “We wanted to have a jersey that stands out and keeps us connected no matter where we go, and Puma captured that perfectly with an ever-present Bulls ambigram that celebrates our DNA across all corners of our communities.”
The new Puma jersey has a BULLS print, which appears as an all-over ambigram graphic on the blue kit, which pays homage to our supporters who come from all corners of the country and globe, whilst the white jersey has an abstract blue Barberton daisy graphic across the shoulders and chest. A tribute to the roots and rich history of the franchise.
“We are into our second decade of producing memorable playing and fan wear with Puma, who are now embarking on this journey of celebrating our backyard, the City of Tshwane and its surrounds whilst taking stock of some of the key landmarks that make this a special place like the official seat of South Africa’s government, the Union Buildings,”
“This is a jersey that unites us all as the Vodacom Bulls family and I cannot wait to see the young and old fill up Loftus in their new Puma fan wear. It is going to be special,” concludes Rathbone.
The new kit – in-stores from 13 October – is being launched with a welcome to the Capital of Rugby campaign, highlighting the signature Jacaranda trees, legendary Vodacom Bulls players, the up-and-coming Bulletjies who are the future stars, and the flag-waving fans that give colour to the club.
