We take a look at Friday Night’s stand-alone English Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur from a betting angle.
Manchester City remain favourites to win the English Premier League title and they are currently priced at 4/6 with Arsenal 9/2, Liverpool 5/1 and you can get 10/1 Tottenham and 40/1 and better the balance.
There are plenty of other long-term markets on offer such as to finish in the Top 4 where Tottenham are trading at 1/1 and Crystal Palace are 3/1 to finish in the top half of the table.

CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace are currently sitting 11th on the log with 3 wins in their opening 9 matches. They are coming off a 4-0 away defeat to Newcastle and their last home game was a goalless draw against Nottingham. Crystal Palace have played 4 matches in front of their own fans this season, winning only 1 of them and there has been a total of only 6 goals in Crystal Palace home matches at an average of 1.5 goals per game.
Crystal Palace‘s matches home and away averaged 2 goals each, the lowest in the Division and only 3 of the 9 games have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Tottenham are currently top of the table with 7 wins and 2 draws in their opening 9 matches. They are on a 3 match winning streak having beaten Fulham 2-0 at home last time out and their last away game was a 1-0 win over Luton. Tottenham have played 5 matches on the road this season, winning 3 and drawing 2 and they have scored 12 goals in these 5 games while conceding 6. 5 of the 9 Tottenham matches have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers, but their last 2 games have failed to reach the 3 goal mark.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Tottenham were too strong for Crystal Palace in this fixture last season, winning 4-0 and they won the reverse fixture at home 1-0 later in the season. That away win for Tottenham broke a run of 3 successive matches at Crystal Palace that Tottenham had failed to get 3 points

VERDICT
It is interesting to see that over 2.5 goals is trading as a 7/10 favourite while under 2.5 goals is 23/20 and at a push I would be suggesting that under 2.5 goals is the value here. I am going to keep things simple though as I think that Tottenham are going to be too strong for Palace and I am going to back them for the straight win.
Suggested Bet: Tottenham win at 5/6
There are plenty of other betting markets to get involved in and one of my favourites is the correct score where a Tottenham 2-0 victory is trading at 8/1.
Son Heung-Min delivered first goal scorer profits for us in his last match against Fulham and it wouldn’t take much to tempt me in to the 9/2 on offer that he finds the back of the net first in this match as well.
