SERIE A

We take a look at three of the Serie A matches taking place this weekend and suggest a bet in each game.

Let’s start with a look at the latest Serie A Betting where Inter Milan are trading as 23/20 favourites ahead of their big rivals, AC Milan who are 23/10, Juventus are 7/2, you can get 8/1 Napoli and 33/1 and better the balance.

FRIDAY

GENOA V SALERNITANA – Click here to bet

Genoa are currently 15th on the log with 2 wins in their opening 9 games.  They have only taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for, most recently lost 2-0 away to Atalanta. Their last home game was a 1-0 defeat to AC Milan and overall at home this season they have taken 4 points from 4 matches.

Salernitana are sitting 2nd from bottom of the log without a win in their opening 9 matches.  They did draw 2-2 at home to Cagliari last time out.  Their last away game was a 3-0 defeat at Monza.  They have only taken 1 point in 4 away matches this season, scoring just 2 goals while conceding 8.

Neither of these sides are in the greatest form, but Genoa should be able to bag the 3 points here.

Suggested Bet:  Genoa win at 17/20

SATURDAY

JUVENTUS v VERONA – Click here to bet

Juventus are currently 3rd on the log on 20 points from their 9 matches, 2 points behind leaders Inter Milan.  They have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 matches and they beat AC Milan 1-0 on the road last time out, a game where they started 26/10 underdogs.  Their last home game was a 2-0 win over Torino and they have won 3 and drawn 1 of their 4 home matches this season scoring 7 goals and conceding just 2.

Verona are currently 16th on the log with 2 wins in their opening 9 games.  They haven’t won in their last 7 matches taking just 2 points from a possible 21.  They were beaten 3-1 at home by Napoli last time out and they have only taken 1 point from the last 12 they have played for on the road.  Verona have only scored 3 goals away from home in 5 matches and in this time they have conceded 6 times.

Juventus did the double over Verona last season winning both fixtures 1-0.

While I am expecting a home win I think it could be closer than the bookies expect.

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Juventus -1 goal, the draw at 26/10

SUNDAY

INTER MILAN v AS ROMA – Click here to bet

Inter are currently sitting top of the log with just 1 defeat in their opening 9 matches.  They beat Torino 3-0 on the road last time out.  In their last home game they dropped 2 points against Bologna drawing 2-2 and they haven’t won in their last 2 home matches.

AS Roma have won 3 games in a row and have climbed to 7th on the table.  They beat Monza 1-0 at home last time out and their last away game was a 4-1 hammering of Cagliari, that was their first away win of the season and they have taken 4 points out of a possible 12 on the road.

Last season it was the away team that won on each occasion and Roma won this fixture 2-1.

Inter are 5/8 for the win with the draw 3/1 and Roma 9/2.

While I am tempted by the draw the bet I like is over 2.5 goals at 19/20, this would have arrived in 6 of the last 7 head-to-heads between the sides.

Suggested Bet:  Over 2.5 goals at 19/20
