English Premier League Betting Preview, Sunday 29 October
October 27, 2023

We take a look at 4 of the English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday and suggest a bet in each.

Manchester City remain firm favourites at 4/6 to win the title heading into this weekend’s fixtures.

There are plenty of other long-term markets that are updated throughout the season and you can click here for the latest English Premier League Outright Markets.

NOTE:  The Manchester United v Manchester City Derby also taking place on Sunday will have its own preview.

WEST HAM v EVERTON – Click here to bet

West Ham are currently 9th on the log, but they are coming off a 4-1 away defeat to Aston Villa and prior to that they drew 2-2 at home to Newcastle.  Both teams have found the back of the net in 8 out of the 9 West Ham games and 7 of those 9 matches have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers.

Everton are currently 16th on the log and are coming off a 2-0 defeat away to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.  On the road this season they have played 4 matches winning 1, drawing 1 and losing 2 and they have only scored 5 goals in those 4 games, but conceded 9.

West Ham won this fixture the last 2 years and I am happy to back them at anything above 1/1.

Suggested Bet:  West Ham win at 23/20

ASTON VILLA v LUTON TOWN – Click here to bet

Aston Villa are currently 5th on the table and they have won 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 matches.  They beat West Ham 4-1 at home last time out and at home this season Villa have a 100% record after 4 matches during which they scored 17 goals and conceded just 3.

Luton are currently 17th on the log with just 1 win in their opening 9 games they have played.  They have only taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for and that was a 2-2 draw away at Nottingham last time out.  They have played 5 matches on the road this season and their sole win came away from home against Everton.

Aston Villa are scoring freely in home games averaging over 4 goals a game and I am going to back them to get at least 3 in this one.

Suggested Bet:  Aston Villa Totals over 2.5 goals at 2/20

BRIGHTON v FULHAM – Click here to bet

Brighton are currently 7th on the table and without a win in their last 3 games.  They were beaten 2-1 away at Manchester City last time out and their last home game was a 2-2 draw with Liverpool so they have been playing top sides.  Both teams have found the back of the net in all 9 of Brighton’s games and amazingly there is also a 100% strike rate for over 2.5 goal backers in Brighton matches.

Fulham are 13th on the log and they have won 2 of their last 5 matches.  Last time out they were beaten 2-0 away at Tottenham and on the road this season they played 5 times with 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses.  They have only scored 4 goals in those matches while conceding 9.

Fulham did the double over Brighton last season winning this fixture 1-0 and winning 2-1 at home.

Brighton are 11/20 for the win with Fulham priced at 9/2 and the draw 15/4 and over 2.5 goals is predictably short at 5/10.  I expect Brighton to win this game comfortably and will back them to win it by more than a goal.

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Brighton -1.5 at 13/10

LIVERPOOL v NOTTINGHAM FOREST – Click here to bet

Liverpool are 4th on the log with just 1 defeat in their opening 9 games.  They beat Everton 2-0 at home last time out and they have a 100% record at Anfield this season, winning all 4 matches and scoring 11 goals while conceding just 2.

Nottingham are 15th on the log with 2 wins in their opening 9 games.  They haven’t won in their last 5, but they have had 4 draws including a 2-2 draw at home to Luton last time out and their last away game was a goalless draw at Crystal Palace.  They have taken 4 points from a possible 15 on the road this season scoring 4 goals in 5 games while conceding 7.

Liverpool are 3/10 favourites for the match with Nottingham Forest priced at 17/2 and I think that Forest are going to struggle to break Liverpool’s defences down.

Suggested Bet:  Nottingham Forest Total Goals under 0.5 goals at 23/20
