Leinster will be looking to bounce back from their semi-final defeat to Munster when they take on La Rochelle in Dublin on Saturday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

LEINSTER

It was always going to be a tough task for Leinster to win both the Heineken Champions Cup and the United Rugby Cup with so many games in succession.  They took a gamble last week against Munster and rested some of their star players, but it backfired as they went down 16-15 at home.  If they can beat La Rochelle in the final of the Champions Cup the season will be a success and the bookies have them as favourites.

Leinster faced Leicester at home in their quarter-final clash winning a comfortable 55-24 before beating Toulouse 41-22 in their semi-final.

LA ROCHELLE

La Rochelle were made to work hard for their quarter-final spot when they beat Gloucester 29-26 at home and they then saw off English giants, Saracens 24-10 in the last 8.  Their semi-final was against another English side, Exeter.  The result was never in doubt with La Rochelle winning 47-28.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Leinster and La Rochelle have met twice in the Champions Cup with La Rochelle winning 33-32 in the semi-final 2021 and they beat Leinster 24-21 in last season’s final.
