We take a look at the first of the Nations Cup semi-finals which takes place in the Netherlands on Wednesday night.

NETHERLANDS
The Netherlands last action in this Tournament was back in September of 2022 when they beat Belgium 1-0 at home. In other home games they beat Wales 3-2 and drew 2-2 with Poland and their away record was even better as they won all 3 matches on the road.
Their most recent International action was towards the end of March when they bet Gibraltar 3-0 at home and earlier in the year they had gone down 4-0 away to France.
CROATIA
Croatia beat Austria 3-1 in their last round of Nations League action last year. It was their 4th successive win in the competition and like the Netherlands they had a 100% record on the road and while they beat Denmark 2-1 at home they dropped points against France where they drew 1-1 and lost 3-0 to Austria at home in their opening game.
In the last 3 months they have beaten Turkey 2-0 away and drawn 1-1 with Wales, both Euro 2024 qualifiers.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have not met since having a friendly fixture back in 2008 when the Netherlands won 3-0 in Croatia. They also met in the World Cup 1998 with Croatia getting the better of the Netherlands 2-1.

Croatia are never an easy team to beat, but I think that with home ground advantage and the resources at their disposal Netherlands should grab the win in 90 minutes.
