There are two English Premier League matches taking place on Tuesday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

Chelsea v Bournemouth – Click here to bet

Chelsea return from the World Cup break 8th on the log and in poor form with 3 losses and 3 draws in their last 5 games. They have lost their last 3 matches in succession including a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle away last time out and a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal before that. Overall at home they have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 this season and looking at their goal scoring record at Stamford Bridge, 4 of the 6 games have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers.

Bournemouth are 14th on the table and broke a run of 4 successive losses with a 3-0 home win over Everton last time out. Their away form has been poor this season though with just 1 win in 7 attempts and they have only taken 2 points on the road in the last 12 they have played for. Looking at Bournemouth goals on the road we see that they have scored 9 in 7 matches while conceding 24, an average of 4.7 goals in total a game with 5 of the 7 matches reaching the 3 goal mark.

These sides haven’t met in the Premier League since the 2019/2020 season when Chelsea only managed a point over the 2 fixtures.

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 16/10

I think this is going to be a game with plenty of action in it and Bournemouth are certainly a side that leak goals on the road, but they are also well capable of getting on the score sheet themselves.

Manchester United v Nottingham – Click here to bet

Manchester United are currently 5th on the log with 3 wins, a draw and a loss in their last 5 starts. Their last game was a 2-1 away win over Fulham and their last home game was a 1-0 victory over West Ham. United played 6 matches on the road this season with 50% of those games delivering you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals.

Nottingham are currently 18th on the log and they have climbed off the bottom of the table courtesy of 2 wins, 2 draws and a loss in their last 5 games. Last time out they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at home and their last away game though was a 5-0 thrashing by Arsenal and they have yet to win in 7 attempts on the road this season. Nottingham’s away games averaged 2.9 goals this season, but that is because they have conceded 19 in 7 and amazingly only scored 1 goal on the road in 630 minutes of action.

These sides haven’t met since the 1998/1999 season when Manchester United won 3-0 at home and then hammered Forest 8-1 on the road.

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, No, at 15/20

With Forest only scoring 1 goal in 7 matches on the road this looks cracking value.
